Tourist Visa You can stay in Brazil for 90 days. However, this can be extended locally in Brazil for another 90 days totalling 180 days per calendar year.
Permanent residence visa there are two principle ways besides marriage:
Retirement visa you are over 50 years of age and can prove at least USD 2'000.00 per month as pension income. This visa also allows 2 dependants permanent residential status.
Investment visa you have made an investment of 50'000.00 USD or more into an existing or new company based in Brazil. This visa is valid for 5 years and can be extended if your business venture employs 10 Brazilians by the end of this 5 year period.
